I finally got my application in this morning for UC Davis. If all goes well then I will be joining my Pedro at Davis in the Fall and taking the Viticulture (vines) and Enology (wines) program. It will be a second bachelor's degree and should only take two more years of schooling as they will give me credit for the courses I've already taken at UNB. With this degree I'll be able to work in the wine industry either at a vineyard or a winery.
The program is really hard to get into though, and my GPA is 0.06 lower than their minimum requirement. Hopefully they will consider it sufficient and will be wowed by my essays. I will also be applying to the program at CSU in Fresno, which is much easier to get into, but it's in Fresno... home of K-Fed (aka Fed-Ex.)
I won't find out until March if I'm accepted, so keep your fingers crossed!
