Snowshoeing

Gillian, John, Poki, Chum and I went to Peter Lougheed to do some snowshoeing this afternoon. I had never done this before so it was a lot of fun to learn something new. I was surprised by how much I still sank into the snow even with the snowshoes on. Cutting trail was difficult. We had a great time though, it was a beautiful day. Near the end Poki bolted into the woods, chasing a moose. John went in and fetched her, Gillian gave her a good scolding and we continued on. When we got to the next clearing we saw the moose come back out of the woods. He ignored us for a while, then Poki saw him and started barking. It ran right past us (very close) and into the woods. It made for a very exciting day! It was really nice to get out into the mountains and be at peace with some good friends and very little stress.

Chum fell... okay, I pushed him over

John and the Montagnes!

Poki is ever-so-cute

Chum peed himself! (said in a mocking, high-pitched, finger-pointing tone)

The moose was really close!
