Here I am, in North Carolina

So I was experimenting with the BOS blog, and decided it was fun so I'm here now with my very own. I probably won't post very often, but since I'll have some more time to myself now I thought I'd give it a shot.

Today is day 4 of my trip to North Carolina. This is such a different world than I'm used to in so many ways. Firstly, Raleigh couldn't be more different than Calgary. There's so much green space here, and lots of old buildings with character. I'd forgotten how much I missed that. Also, it's spring here rather than the random season that Calgary is probably experiencing right now. All the trees are in bloom and beautiful.

Secondly, my life is so very very different than my sister's! She has two very young kids to look after. The amount of responsibility and work she deals with every day is mind-numbing. I, on the other hand, really only have to make sure I get to work on-time(ish) 5 days a week. I have little to no responsibility. And I am quickly learning that I'm quite happy that way. I am most certainly not ready to give up my care-free lifestyle any time soon!

Anyway, here are some pictures of the trip so far...

Me and the girls, by a lovely blossoming tree at Pullen Park.

Alice and I on a 96 year old carousel, it's beautiful!

I was going to say as well, you should definitely frame the one of you and the girls under the tree. It's really nice!

Make sure you tell your sister that she looks AMAZING! She doesn't even look tired. I only hope I'll look that good after my second child.

My sister says she loves you for saying that!
