Today I received my cell phone bill for the month of my trip. I knew that it would be expensive, but when I opened it I experienced a wave of nausea.

Apparently roaming charges are nothing to laugh at. At over $1/minute, they killed me. In the end, I'm glad I had the contact with my friends and family, but, damn! That's some expensive love sharing. I will not be using my phone this weekend in Santa Barbara, I'll tell you that much!
